Hello, I am Emily
A project manager. A parent. An expat living in London, United Kingdom.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to United Kingdom wasn’t on the original plan. As with many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far larger.
The initial few months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, fresh routines, and new expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, met other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
Why I Built PureHarborSpark
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap with practical guidance drawn from real-life experiences in United Kingdom.
What This Site Represents (And What It Doesn’t)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in United Kingdom
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when there are real changes
This site isn’t:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a paid review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in United Kingdom continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in London or anywhere in United Kingdom, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Emily
